Anglicans and former Anglicans who reside in England, Wales and Scotland are eligible to seek to enter the full communion of the Catholic Church through the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Those eligible for membership also include anyone who has been baptised in the Catholic Church but who has not completed the Sacraments of Initiation, and subsequently returns to the faith and practice of the Church as a result of the evangelising mission of the Ordinariate.

There are over 50 Ordinariate Groups spread around the country - from Inverness in the north to St Austell in the south-west - and the Pastor of a local group may well be the best first point of contact. Enquiries from both Clergy and laity are always dealt with in the strictest confidence.

The Ordinariate in Scotland covers three areas North - Inverness, Birnie (by Elgin); Central - Edinburgh; and South - Whithorn. You will find full details and directions about each Mass location here.

As well as becoming full members of the Ordinariate, Associate Membership is open to all Catholics who
wish to show their support for the Ordinariate. In the North of Scotland, because of our close connection
with Birnie Kirk, the almost 900 year old Norman church which was closed by the Church of Scotland in November 2023 and now echoes to weekly Ordinariate worship, there is another category. Companions
of the Ordinariate in the North of Scotland
are those who are members of other Trinitarian churches
who wish to show their support for us.
